Students at Rockbrook Elementary and their families were working in the community Saturday.
It was part of the "be kind" initiative.
Part of the effort involved working to clear up the school's garden. Families also gathered supplies which are given out to area homeless at the Open Door mission and worked to clean up inside the school.
