Terry Moore, a man whose name and face have been synonymous with organized labor and supporting developments in Omaha, is stepping aside has president of the Omaha Federation of Labor.
Moore, 74, held the position for more than 40 years. He will take on a different role, leading a non-profit called Labor United, which focuses on charity work and trades education.
Former Omaha Fire Chief and current state senator Mike McDonnell will take Moore's place.
