The cold doesn't stop ice fishers

For many, it was the final day off before heading back to work. Even with the extremely cold temperatures, people didn't let that stop them from enjoying some ice fishing.

Lake Zorinsky had about half a dozen tents on the frozen water Monday afternoon.

With the weather being so cold, those taking the risk to fish had to make sure they were staying safe and were prepared with their huts and warm clothing.

The ice was about 10 inches thick in spots, a perfect amount to spend all day trying to catch some fish.

Nebraska Game and Parks says the ice is safe to be out on the ice when it is four inches thick of clear solid ice. It also helps if you tell someone when you are going to ice fish or have someone with you.
