OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — As the weekend for the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting winds down, attendees are walking away with advice that goes beyond the world of investing.

Visitors will take advice from the Oracle of Omaha back to places like Chicago, Pennsylvania and even Shanghai.

"We came here to learn investment opportunities," project manager Elena Sho said.

"There was a point where Buffett said, 'Don't wait 20 years to do something, try to do what's important today,'" physician Nick Lamparella said.

"The biggest lesson for me was the margin of safety. That principle that you can protect yourself from your own ignorance or being wrong in anything," investor Phil Robinson said.

Even after events ended at the CHI Health Center Arena, thousands made their way across town to Nebraska Furniture Mart. Berkshire attendees gathered for more fun and food. Even those who live in Omaha can get something out of going year after year as the city is on full display.
