After a devastating diagnosis, an Indiana couple learned the true meaning behind the phrase “Nebraska nice.”

Jeff Hockett was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoblastic lymphoma leukemia.

"They did an X-ray, found the mass in the center of my chest, and around some other organs. They said these are tumors," Hockett recalled.

“It was the absolute worst day of my life," said his wife, Shauna.

Strangers came together to help the Hocketts pay for the trip to Nebraska for treatment and even gave them a place to stay.
