Sunday's strong winds brought down a large tree near 30th and Lincoln Boulevard.
City crews had previously marked the tree for removal but Mother Nature decided to do it herself.
Unfortunately, there were two cars parked near the tree. One was crushed when the tree came down and the other was heavily damaged.
Alissa Miller says the city was supposed to cut the tree down three months ago and a sign was posted on the tree not to park near it.
