Truck crashes into power pole

Posted

A crash southeast Omaha downed a power pole overnight.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. near 42nd and E streets.

Police said the driver lost control and split the wooden power pole in half.  No injuries were reported.

Multiple officers warned in posts on Twitter of slick streets overnight.

“Side roads are getting slick [with] black ice. Be cautious when approaching intersections,” wrote Officer Ryan Miller.

“Drive [with] caution! The refreeze has created black ice throughout the city,” Officer Mick Decker posted.
