The Douglas County Attorney's Office has charged Robert Richmond, the truck driver involved in an Aug. 21 crash that killed Creighton student Joan Ocampo-Yambing, with Misdemeanor Motor Vehicle Homicide.

Police say the front end of Richmond's sem-truck hit the back of a Toyota Prius that was carrying Ocampo-Yambing and two others as traffic slowed on Interstate 80 just west of the 84th Street underpass.

After the collision with the Prius, the semi also collided with another vehicle. In total, six people were injured in the crash.
