It’s Donald Trump's first speech in our area since he became the Republican presidential nominee he stuck to his issues while also attacking his rival Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
His visit could be the final time these voters see the candidate in person before they vote.
Trump warmly greeted by a receptive crowd.
November 8th is going to be an amazing day that will be where we take the white house back.
His speech follows his Monday debate with Hillary Clinton; their first.
“I think this was a much better speech than what he was saying at the debates,” said Trump supporter Larry Storer.
Trump supporter Larry Storer says the debate was rough-but he liked what trump said in council bluffs.
He was hitting all the things except for Benghazi.
Other supporters say Trump's momentum is rising.
“I think he's gearing up and I think we're over-the-top after this last debate,” said Deborah Whitaker.
This rally was also the kick-start of Iowa Christian Conservatives for Trump.
“It's important to have those people fully engaged and on board,” said Steve Scheffler, Iowa’s president of the faith and freedom coalition.
He said the so-called religious liberty movement could dissipate if Clinton becomes president.
“If Hillary Clinton is elected, the idea of religious liberty could be down in the yonder land and just not be there so it's really important to get him elected,” said Scheffler.
Also listening to Trump today was Calandra Cooper who says she represents a segment of trump supporters rarely acknowledged.
“For too long coming from a black perspective that we have been ignored from a different kind of front so i like his message to black Americans as far as helping our communities and being concerned with black and Hispanic children right now that are in poverty,” said Cooper.
Early voting starts tomorrow for Iowans-that was a major push for trump-telling Iowans to vote.
