Just before the New Year, new mom Carla Hunter says her five-week-old baby Faith began throwing up and was having trouble breathing.

Hunter called 911 and a dispatcher walked her through CPR.  While performing CPR Hunter says blood began coming from her daughter's mouth and nose.

Shortly after Officer TJ Jacik and Officer Steve Walter arrived on scene.  The La Vista Police Department says while Officer Jacik did chest compressions, Officer Walter did mouth-to-mouth.  The two officers were able to revive the infant as EMTs arrived.

Faith was released from Children's Hospital on Friday afternoon and is doing great.  Doctors tell Hunter that her daughter was in cardiac arrest.

Hunter says she will be eternally grateful for the actions of Officers Jacik and Walter.
