Two sentenced in fraternity drinking death

Posted
Two men have been sentenced for giving alcohol to an 18 year old University of Nebraska-Lincoln fraternity member who died of alcohol poisoning.

23-year olds Cory Foland and Ross Reynolds received a year of probation for their no contest pleas to misdemeanor procuring alcohol for a minor. Prosecutors lowered the charge from a felony. Clayton Real died after an on-campus party on September 4, 2014. Real was found dead in his room at the FarmHouse Fraternity the next morning.

Two others charged in the case, Thomas Trueblood and Vance Heyer will be sentenced later Monday for their roles in Real's death. They made the same plea deal as Foland and Reynolds.
