OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Sydney Meier is the Student Director of the student run Women and Gender Equity Center at UNO. Making sure females can study freely and not worry about monthly essential feminine hygiene and menstrual items is one of their top goals.
"Limited access to necessary hygiene items can make it uncomfortable to go to class or even just be in your own body. Having these resources really help to break that barrier," said Meier.
If you fill out the form requesting the items you need, they will have the package waiting for you. They are all specifically tailored to meet your individual needs.
"If you are a parent and you don't have access to diapers, wipes, formula, it can make it difficult to attend class or to provide for your infant or child," adds Meier.
The group has also been able to get free feminine products installed in the bathrooms on campus.
