An update to a story Action 3 News brought you Tuesday about an injured dog in Harrison County.
The Humane Society said the dog, Maggie, was able to see a specialist and get surgery on her broken leg.
Maggie was hit by a car earlier this week and had broken bones in her back leg and a broken pelvis. No owners have stepped forward to claim her.
The group was able to raise over $3,800 to help pay for Maggie’s medical bills.
One of the women who work at the Humane Society said Maggie was up and even walking some on on Thursday.
