Accused Creighton killer Anthony Garcia will keep his Chicago-based defense team at least another day.
A Douglas County judge took a prosecution motion to remove Alison and Bob Motta off the case under advisement during a hearing Monday morning. Prosecutors filed a motion to remove the Mottas from the case for unethical conduct, which included some comments made to KMTV about DNA evidence in another murder case. Douglas County Attorney Don Kliene told the judge that he wants Garcia to have proper counsel. The judge also told the Motta's Nebraska licensed attorney that it wasn't Kleine who brought the issue to the media, it was the defense.
