The Omaha School District now says a threat posted on social media about a student bringing a weapon to Northwest High School did not originate in Omaha.
District administrators say further investigation found that the threat targeted Northwest High School in Cincinnati. It's their understanding that an arrest has been made in the case.
OPS learned about the call late last night and sent out robocalls and an email to parents early this morning in regards to the threat. Security at Northwest High will be increased throughout the day as a precaution.
