In its annual state rankings, U.S. News and World Report named Iowa No. 1 overall.
U.S. News and World Report ranked all 50 states across 75 metrics, including infrastructure, healthcare, opportunity, quality of life, crime, fiscal stability and education. Iowa received high marks in healthcare, opportunity, infrastructure and education.
As for Nebraska, it was ranked No. 7, scoring in the top 10 in education and infrastructure.
Minnesota (No. 2) and Colorado (No. 10) also finished in the top overall.
