West Omaha family hosts final haunted house tour, benefits local charities

The Dead Manor Haunted House near 180th and Harrison, has been collecting canned goods and other non-perishable items to donate to the Sienna Francis House and other local organization across Omaha for the past 8 years.

Tracy Wajda and her family began creating the Halloween-movie inspired sets in July for this year's Halloween celebration.

Wajda says they'll have candy for the kids, so they encourage them to wear their costumes but it's not required.

There will also be actors at the family-run haunted house, but Wajda says parents shouldn't worry about the tour being too scary for small children, because they can do a simple walk through.

After 8 years, Wajda says this will be their final year hosting the haunted house tour.

Admission is free, they just ask that you bring canned goods or non-perishable items to be donated.

Tonight's tours begin at 6 p.m. and will last until 10 p.m.
