The I-80/I-29 project in Council Bluffs is about halfway through its budget, meaning the project is about halfway completed. However, there's another detour this week, this one coming right across the river from downtown Omaha.
"We're in the process of removing a portion of the UP railroad bridge north of Nebraska Avenue," Dave Dorsett from the Iowa Department of Transportation said.
This means drivers are being rerouted, with the closure lasting until Friday morning, according to IDOT.
