Parts of Jones Street in the Old Market are in really bad shape. Public works is now talking about the plan to fix it up, scheduled for 2020.

Repairs, including new storm drains, will be coming to the brick road and sidewalks between 11th and 13th streets.

Meanwhile in southwest Omaha, a major road project starts tomorrow affecting Sarpy County drivers for the next couple of months.

The county will shut down 168th Street between Giles Road and Harrison Street on Wednesday; only local traffic will be allowed through.

Crews will make road repairs and perform maintenance.
