Police say a woman was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a pickup truck on Highway 75 Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. on Hwy 75, near Lake Street.
The woman was standing outside her vehicle while stopped along the shoulder when a pickup truck hit her while serving to avoid hitting other stopped vehicles, according to police.
Police have not yet identified the woman or the pickup truck driver.
