It's a team effort by the National Safety Council and the YMCA to help children get active just in time for summer.
"It’s a national initiative to get the youth out and exercise and live a high healthy lifestyle."
President of National Safety Council Eric Koeppe says they also want kids to know the importance of wearing your seat belt in a car, and using a helmet on a bike.
"It’s also important for the Safety Council to have the safety for the bike helmets and seatbelts, getting people to wear their seat belt."
Organizers say it's a fun way to strengthen the community, teaching children that safety and your health comes first.
"Health and exercise is so important for the youth so this is the day for the Ymca to encourage that."
Koeppe says the National Safety Council and the YMCA joined forces to make sure children get off the couch and get moving this summer.
"We both held events separately in the past and thought what better thing to do than put the events together."
