LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced Tuesday night that a fifth presumptive positive case of coronavirus in the state is awaiting final confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The DHHS said the person is from Northeast Nebraska and will be transferred to the Biocontainment Unit at Nebraska Medicine/University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Contact investigations have began and the DHHS is quickly assessing potential exposures.
All close contacts that are identified will self-quarantine and will be monitored twice daily.
