Two dead in massive California four-alarm fire, two missing

Firefighters battled a four-alarm fire in Oakland, California Monday morning.According to the San Francisco Chronicle, crews arrived on the scene at 6:10 a.m.

As of late Monday evening, two people have died from Monday's blaze. There were also two people missing. 

According to the Oakland Fire Department on Twitter, multiple floors on the building were engulfed in flames and crews had to be removed from the building because the structure was compromised.

The building on fire is reportedly an apartment building. It's not currently clear how many people were in the building when it caught fire.

NBC Bay Area reports that seven people were rescued and at least three people have suffered injuries. A body was found in a second floor apartment.

The conditions of those injured have not been released.
