Nebraska and Iowa are among five states that are part of a possible salmonella outbreak.
Right now, consumers are being asked to not eat chicken salad sold at Fareway Stores.
The other states include South Dakota, Minnesota and Illinois.
Preliminary tests show salmonella is present in the product and the store has pulled it from its shelves.
