Three new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Lincoln

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Three new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lincoln, bringing the community's total to 62.

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) announced Thursday that the new cases are individuals in their 30s and 50s and LLCHD is investigating.

LLCHD is now monitoring 63 individuals. Lancaster County reports one death, 1,887 negative tests and 62 positives with 9 tests pending at the Nebraska Public Health Lab.

The Mayor and LLCHD will hold a briefing at 3:30 p.m. TODAY, Thursday, April 16. The briefing will be aired live on LNKTV, the City government access channel. The briefing may be viewed on Allo channels 2 and 3, Spectrum channels 1300 and 1301, and Kinetic channels 1005 and 1010.
