A Millard woman enjoying her 107th birthday with others who have also lived for more than a century celebrated Wednesday in a location very unique to her.

In the top 1% of oldest people in Douglas County, Edna Karloff had her birthday celebration at the Good Samaritan Society Skilled Care Facility in Millard on Wednesday. She was actually born blocks away from where the Good Samaritan Society building now stands.

Five other residents at Good Samaritan who are also more than 100 years old helped sing her happy birthday.

"Just a good living all my life since I was born. I had a happy life, very happy," Edna explained.

Edna raised her family on a farm near Chalco. Her family owned the property near 120th & Q Streets in the early 1900s.

"We just celebrated 50 years this last June at the facility so when we heard edna's story we thought we have to celebrate that.  How cool is that to turn 107 years old at the same place you were born at?" said Aimee Middleton, the Administrator for Good Samaritan Society in Millard.

Edna's son says he attributes her longevity to not taking medications, having a cocktail once in a while, and having a strong heart.
