Former Husker offensive line coach Milt Tenopir has died after a long battle with leukemia.
Tenopir's death comes just days after the former offensive line coach met with current Husker players, shaking each player's hand.
Tenopir is credited with building Nebraska's "pipeline" the nickname given to its offensive linemen who won three national titles and led the country in rushing 13 times during his tenure.
Tenopir was 76 years old.
Coach Mike Riley issued the following statement: "Milt Tenopir was a great man and it was a blessing for our staff to get to know him over the past couple years. He will be truly missed but the impact he left will always be remembered. Milt will forever be a Husker."
