Following Thursday's practice Nebraska's head coach Mike Riley stated six walk-ons received scholarships.
The six Huskers include junior offensive lineman Cole Conrad, senior tight end Tyler Hoppes, senior fullback Luke McNitt, senior tight end Connor Ketter, senior wide receiver Gabe Rahn and senior wide receiver Brett Classen.
Rahn recently got married back in May and received quite the late wedding present from the NU coaching staff.
"Honestly for me, it's taken a lot of support for my family and my wife," said Rahn. "They really kept me going in times when I didn't think I could do it. So I would just attribute that to my support system.
