Nebraska State Wrestling schedule, brackets

This weekend, high schools across Nebraska will gather at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha for the 2017 NSAA Wrestling Championships. The tournament begins Thursday and extends through Saturday evening.

The first round begins Thursday, Feb. 16 with classes A and D weighing in at 8 a.m. Following weigh ins, class A and D wrestlers will compete across 10 mats in the first round at 9:30 a.m. with the quarterfinals following.

Class B and C will weigh in at 2:30 and begin the first round at 4 p.m. followed by the quarterfinals. The first and second round of consolations begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday for classes A and D and will wrap up around 12:30. Class B and C consolations run from 12:30 p.m. to around 5 p.m. 

The semifinals and third round consolation matches begin Friday at 5 p.m. for all classes spread across eight mats. The tournament will pick back up Saturday morning for consolation semifinals at 9:30, followed by 3rd and 5th place matches.

The state finals for all classes begin Saturday at 3 p.m. across four mats in the CenturyLink Center. For more information on the 2017 NSAA Wrestling Championship, head to the NSAA website for a schedule and interactive bracket.
