Last season the Bluejays watched closes losses pile up and tumble them down near the Big East cellar. Over the past week they dropped two games in the waning moments and it seemed like they might be heading down that path again. However, Creighton temporarily righted the ship with a dominating performance against their rivals from Lincoln.
The Jays win stopped their short losing skid at just two games. It seemed to breathe a little confidence back into the team. And the players believed stopping that losing momentum was just as important as getting a win the rivalry game.
