This weather blog comes bearing good news to fall-lovers everywhere! Or, at least, those of us who are ready to be done with the 90-degree days.
The good news is that the start of August looks to be “cooler!” That’s not a guarantee that we’re done with our 90-degree days by any means, but a look at the next seven days shows temperatures staying a bit below average.

The Climate Prediction Center also shows some cooler than average weather continuing for about the first week of August. However, some models want to bring back a couple of 90-degree days shorter after.

For those of you keeping track at home, Omaha has tied our number of 90-degree days this year to our yearly average of 33 days.

The earliest last 90-degree day was July 29th, 1986. However, you can see that the average last 90-degree day for Omaha is almost the middle of September, so we’ve got a while to go before we can totally count out more 90s! For now, we’ll enjoy the short break.
