This summer was certainly a hot and humid one, but overall not as hot as what Omaha experiences on average.

In Omaha, we typically reach 90° or higher on 33 days throughout the calendar year. So far, we only had 21 days with temperatures of 90 degrees or hotter in 2019. One thing Omaha hasn’t done at all this year is hit 100 degrees.

We do still have a couple of days with highs in the mid to upper 80s coming up, so adding a few more 90° days to our current total is not out of the question.

In fact, Omaha averages three 90 degrees days during the month of September before averaging zero during October.

The start of the new month has average highs still in the mid 80s, but the Climate Prediction Center showers below average temperatures likely as the calendar flips over.
