We’ve already seen snow falling this season and as we keep going through the rest of fall and into winter, snow will become even more abundant. Which means at times, travel will be difficult because of ice, snow, and blowing snow.
Thankfully, technology makes checking road conditions much easier nowadays. While you can usually call 511 for updates on roads, each state also has a website which will show you conditions in real time.
On some sites, you can even track snowplows!
And many of these sites also have apps you can download for your smartphone from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
Below you can find links to Nebraska’s 511 website along with the sites for the surrounding states. And if you’re traveling farther, the last link will take you to a look at a national map to choose for which state you’d like road information.
