February can't seem to catch a break from winter weather

Winter weather isn’t done with Omaha just yet. At this point, we have just over half of the month of February left, but it has been an active month with a decent amount of snowfall and temperatures that have been up and down.

Looking ahead to the rest of February it appears that our cooler than average temperatures are going to continue. On the plus side, our average high for the month is 38 degrees, so we are starting to gradually warm up the daily average high.

We will continue to see more precipitation, too. The Climate Prediction Center is showing Omaha in the area for chances of wetter than average conditions for the rest of the month. That means we will see more snow chances, so we’re not done with it yet! (Which is good news for snow lovers, but bad news for those who are ready for sunny skies and warmer days.)
