A new month is finally here: May! Many of us are ready for some warmer temperatures and drier days, and we usually do warm up more during this month, but we may have to wait a bit longer to enjoy it!
As far as our usual average for the month of May, Omaha can expect an average high of 74 degrees and an average low 0f 51 degrees. While May is not typically our wettest month, Omaha does usually receive 4.76 inches of rain.
While more days in the 70s sound great right now, we may need to curb our enthusiasm just a bit, because the Climate Prediction Center shows the chance for Omaha to see cooler than average temperatures through May.
It appears the rain is going to continue, too. Omaha is included in a large area which will likely see wetter than average conditions for the month. It’ll be a good idea to keep the umbrella and rain boots somewhere you can grab them quickly as you head out the door!
