This probably doesn’t come as a surprise, but our rainfall for May was significantly above average.

It didn’t break the record but certainly will go down as one of the wettest we have seen in recent years.

We are ending the month with more than 7.5 inches of rainfall, which is more than 3 inches above average for the entire month.

When I looked over the stats for the month, we ended up with 24 days of a trace to more than an inch and a half of rain on any given day.

It is the 12Th wettest May on record, and the last time we had significant rain totals in May was in 2007 with more than 10.5 inches. The wettest May occurred in 1883 with 11.29 inches.
