Omaha crime blotter, week of June 26

June 26: Police responded to a cutting on 23rd and Jones Street a little after midnight Monday. The victim, 37-year-old Kevin Youngblood, told officers he was attacked by two acquaintances. The victim was transported to Nebraska Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is on-going. 

Over the weekend 

June 25: Omaha Police say one person sustained a non-life threatening injury after a shooting on 13th and Douglas. The victim, 25-year-old Taylor Anderson, told officers she was walking in the area and heard several males exchanging words before they fired shots.

The investigation is on-going and Anderson was transported to Nebraska Medical Center.  

June 23: Omaha Police have made arrests on a serious of sexual assaults all committed by the same suspect. Omaha Police Special Victims Unit arrested Abdul-Aleem Arthur, 30, for two counts of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child and a first-degree false imprisonment. 

According to police, Arthur committed four assaults from March 12 to May 23. The victims ranged from ages 13-26. 

Police say the investigation is on-going and there may be more victims.
