Alexa joined the 3 News Now team in June 2018 but has deep ties to Nebraska. A majority of her family is spread throughout the state and she has always wanted to live close by.
Originally from Denver — a Broncos fan through and through — she has traveled around the west coast. As she hasn't lived in the snow and cold for a while, she's expecting the next few winters back in Nebraska to be interesting, to say the least.
But she is definitely no stranger to the heat: After leaving Denver at age 10, she moved to Las Vegas until attending college the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Phoenix. After earning her bachelor’s degree in journalism, she moved to Bakersfield, Calif., working as a multimedia journalist for the local ABC affiliate.
When Alexa isn’t at work, she is most likely keeping up with her favorite real housewives (from Orange County or Beverly Hills) and other Bravo channel faves. Some of her other favorite activities include spending time with family, obsessing over her black pug, Duke; going horseback riding; or trying new places to eat.
