FEMA hiring workers in Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has an immediate need to fill temporary positions to aid in disaster recovery in various Nebraska cities.

Temporary positions are available in Broken Bow, Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk, Omaha and West Platte. FEMA is looking for qualified candidates for an assortment of emergency management functions.

Posted positions currently include Public Assistance Program delivery managers, site inspection specialists, emergency management specialists and External Affairs specialists, a press release from the State of Nebraska says. More positions will be available soon.

The positions are for 120 days and may be extended--in 120-day increments--for a maximum 365-day appointment. Length is based on needs of the disaster.
