A person of interest in the disappearance and death of Sydney Loofe was in federal court in Lincoln on Monday.
Aubrey Trail, 51, is set to appear on unrelated charges of transporting stolen items across state lines. Recently, Trail told our partners at the Omaha World-Herald he is responsible for Loofe's death, saying he suffocated her at a home in Saline County on Nov. 16.
Trail says Bailey Boswell, the other person of interest in the case, had nothing to do with Loofe's death.
The pair have a criminal history of passing bad checks and swindling antique dealers in other states.
