OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If you're looking for Kansas City Chiefs fans, great good, and a place with a sense of community, head over to Pat & Mike's Bar - also known as "Chiefs Country."
Located in Northwest Omaha near 91st and Bedford Ave., the hot spot for football fans opened nearly 30 years ago by two brothers. One of the brothers, Mike, was a huge Chiefs fan. He passed down his love for the football team to Jennifer Garvey and her husband, who worked at the bar. He sold the bar to them over a year ago.
The bar is the only official Kansas City Chiefs bar in Omaha on the Chiefs' website, making it a favorite for fans.
The walls are decorated with Chiefs memorabilia, including a signed Chiefs jersey dedicated to Pat & Mike.
You don't have to be a Chiefs fan, or like football for that matter to enjoy the fun and warmly atmosphere at Pat & Mike's.
Like most bars, their food is greasy and heavy - just what you want for a perfect NFL day. Their menu ranges from hamburgers, wings, sandwiches, appetizers, and their popular roast beef. Nearly all of their menu, including some of the favorites, like their loaded nachos (I recommend the tater tots!), hot beef plate, and chili burger are under $10.
For Super Bowl 54, Garvey plans to have a place packed with people who love football, drinks, food, and a fun time.
During the summer, the place hosts cornhole tournaments on their patio.
