Rathskeller Bier Haus is home to great beers, great prices, affordable prices and most importantly, a delicious Reuben sandwich.
The German beer house's Reuben sandwich recently won 'Best Reuben Sandwich' in the Great Reuben Debate, a competition to see which restaurant had the best Reuben in the Blackstone District - the area where the sandwich originated.
The hot spot, which is restaurant, community space, and a full service bar, was first built in 1900 then expanded in 1917. The different bricks from all the different eras in Omaha make the place feel cozy and welcoming.
Their large group seating makes it a great place to host several community events planned throughout the month, including board game nights on Monday, Trivia night on Thursdays, and live music on the weekends.
Beyond their extensive wine list and over 100 total beers, their food is top notch. Their menu features popular dishes such as salads, BLTs, soups, wings, flatbreads, sandwiches, and stuffed stick pretzels.
Also a popular item is their charcuterie board. Their options include a sausage, vegan, hummus, or cheese board.
As for their prices, most of their meals or appetizers are under $10, with some shareable items a bit more pricey - but again, worth sharing.
