OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 12-year-old boy was injured Saturday in Council Bluffs after playing with fire.
The Council Bluffs Police Department and Fire Department were dispatched to 578 Cogleywood Lane for a burn injury. The boy was later transported from his location to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.
A fire was reported at the same time near the 800 block of Franklin Ave. Investigation shows the incidents are connected and two juvenile males were playing with fire. Only one of the boys suffered injuries.
Names are not being released due to age. The Council Bluffs Fire Marshal's office continues to investigate.
