SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Trooper Jerry Smith lost his life June 20 in a three-vehicle crash.
Family, friends, the Nebraska State Patrol and the public are invited to attend Trooper Smith's funeral services.
Prior to the ceremony, there will be a procession to escort Trooper Smith from the funeral home to the Western Nebraska Community College campus. Specific route details will be released at a later time.
The ceremony will include honor guards from both the United States Army and NSP.
The service will start at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, in the gymnasium on the Western Nebraska Community College campus at 1601 E. 27th St in Scottsbluff.
