OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Taste of Omaha, an annual event featuring food from the city's top restaurants, entertainment and family fun kicked off downtown Friday.
From barbecue to gyros, the 22nd annual Taste of Omaha festival showcases the diverse food the city has to offer.
The three-day event also features musical acts and family entertainment, including rides, face painting and a special stage for kids.
All stage shows are free to attend.
Taste of Omaha lasts until Sunday at the Heartland of America Park and Lewis & Clark Landing.
Saturday's hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday's hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Read more about the food offered at the festival and a schedule of events here.
Increased police presence is to be expected after last year's fatal shooting at the festival.
