SARPY COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) — After flooding closed the Highway 34 connection between Sarpy County, NE and Mills County, IA in March, a portion of the road re-opened to traffic Friday afternoon.
Our partners at the Omaha World-Herald say both westbound lanes of U.S. 34 will be open, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Eastbound travel will be restricted to a single lane.
The connection between Sarpy and Mills Counties--and its link to Interstate 29--were closed since flooding caused destruction to the area in March.
Interstate 29 from Missouri Valley to Council Bluffs/Omaha re-opened last week.
