Lincoln Police investigating shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Lincoln Police and Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a shooting early Sunday where they located a 30-year-old male suffering from gunshot injuries.

Authorities responded to the area of 14th and E St at approximately 2:25 a.m. where they located the injured male.

He was transported to a local hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Investigation into this incident is ongoing. At this time, the shooting appears to be a targeted assault and there doesn't appear to be a threat to the public, according to Lincoln PD.
