OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — 10/2/19 update:
According to Omaha Police, the homicide investigation of Shane Inks indicates self-defense.
The male taken into custody at the scene was not charged in connection with the case and was determined to be the victim of an assault.
Chloe Ulrich, 21, has been arrested for assault in relation to the incident.
Omaha Police say there was a suspect located on-scene who was taken into custody.
There are no outstanding suspects and no further information can currently be provided.
Omaha Police say 31-year-old Shane Inks died from injuries sustained in a cutting Saturday night at 3314 Howard St.
Officers responded to the area at 10:24 p.m. Upon arrival, Inks was located and transported to Nebraska Medical Center where he later died.
The investigation is ongoing.
