Man flees on bicycle after stabbing man in Council Bluffs

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa. (KMTV) — Council Bluffs police are searching for 32-year-old Anthony Samaroo after he stabbed a man and fled the area by bicycle.

At approximately 11:26 a.m. Saturday, Samaroo and 47-year-old Ronald Ferguson got into a verbal altercation that turned physical near N. 35th St. in Council Bluffs.

A press release from CB PD says Samaroo pulled out a pocket knife and lunged at Ferguson, stabbing him in his right forearm.

Samaroo fled the scene by bicycle before officers arrived.

Ferguson was taken to Mercy Hospital where he was treated and released. His injuries are not serious or life-threatening.

Samaroo has multiple warrants in Council Bluffs and one in Douglas County. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police urge individuals to call police if they see Samaroo and to not approach him.

Samaroo was last seen headed west towards Omaha.
