OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — After community debate, Omaha City Council approved the plastic ban Tuesday in a 4-3 vote, which was set to go into effect in 2022. Before the vote, Mayor Jean Stothert expressed her opposition of the ordinance and vetoed the measure Wednesday.
